Course Offerings

We require four years of English, Rabbinics, social sciences, mathematics, science, Hebrew language,Tanakh (Bible study), physical education, one semester of health, and a minimum of three arts-based electives. Many students also round out their academic schedule by taking a foreign language such as French, Spanish, or Latin, or by participating in our Engineering and Entrepreneurship (E2) program* or our Center for Academic Support. Juniors and seniors have a wide degree of choice in selecting their courses, and senior year offers new and enriching experiences including Lev v’Nefesh and the WISE Individualized Senior Experience.

* E2 at Schechter Westchester is generously supported by the Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education.

These words by Rabbi Yishmael, which reflect the essence of our mission, are found in Pirkei Avot. They advise us to lead lives filled with learning, teaching, preservation of our heritage, and social action.
