Solomon Schechter School of Westchester is a not-for-profit educational institution that depends on income from tuition, fees, interest from its endowment, and charitable contributions.
Schechter Westchester relies increasingly on philanthropic support to maintain the excellence of its schools, particularly in today’s struggling economy. Therefore, the development office fosters relationships with parents, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, faculty, friends, corporations, foundations, and the general community. Through these relationships, we coordinate gifts that meet both the wishes of the donor and the needs of the school.
Gifts in support of the school may be an unrestricted donation to the Schechter Annual Fund, a designated gift for a specific approved project or an existing fund at the school. With great excitement and enthusiasm, we launched our endowment campaign in the fall of 2010.
Schechter Westchester also encourages corporate matching gifts. The school provides many methods for making your gift. Deciding what to give, when to give it, and how to shape that gift is just as important as choosing to support Schechter Westchester. Through effective estate planning you can also help the school plan for tomorrow. Whatever you choose, the staff in the development office is pleased to assist you and always available.
