Afterschool Basketball for Grades 5 and 6

We are excited to begin year two of our new afterschool basketball program for students in the fifth and sixth grades. Practices will take place once per week, with the girls’ team meeting on Tuesdays and the boys’ team meeting on Thursdays. We are also looking to schedule a few games for each team against teams from other local schools. The season will begin during the week of November 27 and conclude on the week of February 12.

Each practice will take place in the Lower School Gym and run from 4:45 until 6:00 p.m. Fifth-grade students may participate in afterschool activities or go to the Lower School Library until 4:45 p.m.; sixth graders will be transported by bus to the Lower School campus and will have a supervised space to work on homework until practice begins. All students are encouraged to bring a snack. Athletes will not be allowed to leave with another family without written permission from their parent. If you would like your child to go home with another child, you must give a signed note to the coach or athletic office prior to the game or have indicated permission within the online sports sign-up form.

The cost of the program is $300 per student. To register, please signup below.

Please note:

  • This program is dependent upon sufficient enrollment for each team.
  • Cancellations after December 8 will not be refundable.
  • There will be no refunds or make-ups for missed session in the event that a student is absent or if school is closed or dismissed early for any reason.

If you have any questions, please contact Scott D'Ottavio.

Practices will take place once per week and will not meet when classes are not in session.
