From Sunday, October 29 until Tuesday, October 31, high school students Maya Kremins, Alyssa Schwartz, Daryn Golub, and Miles Wohl traveled to Washington, D.C. for AIPAC's Schusterman Advocacy Institute High School Summit.

On Monday, November 6, student journalists from The Lion's Roar and Schechter Westchester's Yearbook took part in the 78th Annual Fall Conference of the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, at Columbia University in New York City. Each student attended several workshops during the day, choosing from approximately 100 workshop sessions.

Fifth-grade students have been captivated in their literacy class with the book, Wonder, by R.J. Palacio.
